The We Live Zombie Carnival

The We Live Zombie Carnival is a scripted fiction/comedy podcast with splashes of improv. Hosts Gina and Joe are radio show DJs living in a post-apocalyptic zombie infested world. The odd couple jocks hide away in an island lighthouse along the Pacific Northwest. They interview guests, take calls from listeners, and play only the best indie music. Unfortunately, in every episode, somebody usually dies.

SEASON TWO | OUT NOW ON SPOTIFY

Joe and Gina arrive to their new studio in the heart of downtown Los Angeles after signing with Polaris ZM Radio. But soon clowns overtake the city and Joe gets kidnapped while using the bathroom.

Agent Banderson offers his insight on what may be behind these clown riots. Red finds love in a strange place. And Gina, like usual, keeps it altogether while the city literally burns.

More amazing guests come on the show to get eaten by zombies. And we still play the best underground music you’ve never heard.  Visit our Music page HERE to listen for yourself.

Before Horde

What Happened?

We are all living during a zombie apocalypse. And the world governments urge the public to remain calm while practicing social distancing. From an isolated lighthouse, vlogger Queen Regina hosts the “We Live: Life After Reanimation” podcast to help those afflicted with the stressors of killing their infected loved ones better cope with the apocalypse.

Life is serene until Joe Deez, a former 1990’s radio DJ, stumbles upon her studio. Joe slowly encroaches on the show’s format and incorporates outdated Gen X tropes. Joe uses his background in shock radio to inadvertently offend listeners.

Now
What?

An overnight sensation, the We Live Zombie Carnival Morning Show catapulted the two to fame in the modern dystopia. Now, Queen Regina and Joe Deez are a pair of odd couple hosts who have nothing better to do during their isolation than reach out to the outside world and entertain listeners.

The pair have recreated the shock jock-style radio show concept now that the FCC has abandoned regulations. They air their show from the safety of their shoreline lighthouse.

After Horde

The Format

We Live follows an old-school morning show format. Broken into segments, episodes consist of current events, call-in guests who usually die on air, and the best underground music on the planet. Starting at 6 am, shows include unbelievable songs you’ve probably never heard before. Unfortunately, they usually fill the “dead air” after a guest has been eaten by zombies. Artists who have graced the show with their music include Five Fingers of Funk, Bobby Edge, Immune, Lauryl Sulfate, and The Allergies. You can keep up with these great artists here.

The Screenplay

We Live is a fun and one-of-a-kind podcast. Only it’s not a podcast! It’s a radio show that actually started out as a screenplay!
