The governments of the world urge the public to remain calm during a zombie pandemic and to practice social distancing. From an isolated lighthouse in the Pacific Northwest, vlogger Regina hosts the “We Live - Life After Reanimation” podcast to help those afflicted with the psychological stressors of killing their infected family members better cope with a post-apocalyptic planet. Life is serene until Deez, a renegade pariah and former 1990’s radio DJ from New Orleans, stumbles upon her sanctuary and high-quality studio. While squatting, Deez slowly encroaches on the show’s format. Incorporating many outdated Gen X tropes such as conversations about recreational drug use and adult activities, Deez uses his background in shock jock radio to inadvertently offend Regina’s listeners.

A product of the Generation X machine, Deez didn’t really plan for the future. He just assumed being a shock jock would keep him employed forever. Now living with a death wish, Deez is about to give up until he notices the flashing light of a distant Pacific Northwest lighthouse.
Queen Regina
Regina wandered onto a peaceful Pacific Northwest island in the earliest days of the pandemic. She soon takes refuge in an abandoned cottage home with an attached lighthouse. Finding tranquility, she hosts a daily podcast helping survivors handle life after the reanimation.

As the show’s popularity grows, the two incur the wrath of a local ham radio enthusiast named Doug who broadcasts alerts from his boarded-up basement.
Deez prods renowned scientist Dr. Ricci to prove his vaccine works by receiving a zombie bite live on air, causing him to blow himself up. Deez gains control of the Emergency Broadcast System and transmits advertisements for his Zombstock Music Festival. The concert turns into a super spreader as a rare hurricane drops thousands of zombies from the sky.
